2016 Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley
After three successive seasons of drought, this vintage was marked by a return of normal rainfall patterns. Late spring rains quickly gave way to hot summer weather making it difficult to keep up with tasks in the vineyard.
The fruit for this wine is sourced from three vineyards; our winery estate, RSM, and Helluva providing a fruit forward representation of Anderson Valley Pinot.
Aromas of raspberries and cream with notes of nutmeg and allspice waft from the glass. This elegant wine has red fruit flavors of ripe black cherries and ripe red plums. It is round and full on the palate with velvety tannins punctuated by lively acid framing the persistent fruit on the finish. Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels (25% new).
