2017 Pinot Noir, RSM Estate Vineyard
After three years of transition, 2017 was our first CCOF certified, organically farmed harvest of the RSM Estate Vineyard. This wine is a mix of Dijon 115, Dijon 667, and Pommard clones. The extreme heat we had on Labor Day delayed ripening and thus this vintage of RSM is more delicate and lower in alcohol than previous vintages. Elegant and complex showing aromas of raspberry and cherry, forest floor, and cedar. Red cherries, mushroom, resinous pine and hints of clove on the finish. With age the RSM has continued to soften with concentrated fruit and a luxurious velvety finish. Aged for 10 months in all French oak barrels (33% new).
