Riesling
Anderson Valley
We found a new vineyard for Riesling in Boonville located in the southernmost part of Anderson Valley. This site gets very little fog and moisture ideal for Riesling as it prefers cool yet dry conditions. A cool vintage resulted in long hang and ripe fruit flavors while preserving acidity. Aromas of citrus blossoms, honey suckle, and subtle hints of petrol waft from the glass. Initially rich stone fruit flavors of peaches and nectarines coat the mouth round and full, then subside to reveal notes of candied lime and kiwi. Nervy and edgy acidity balanced with small amounts of residual sugar carrying juicy peach flavors on the long finish. Primarily fermented in stainless steel, near the end of fermentation a portion was racked to neutral oak barrels to allow stirring of the lees enhancing the fullness on the palate. Cases: 300
