Handley Estate Vineyard, Anderson Valley
Made from fruit sourced from our organically farmed CCOF Certified, Handley Estate Vineyard which is a blend of Robert Young and Burgundian clone 76. Aromas of citrus blossom, cooked apples, toast, caramel, and nutmeg. Flavors of lime, pineapple, crisp Gala apples, and toasted almonds. Soft on the entry, round and full on the mid palate, crisp on the finish with persistent fruit. Barrel fermented and stirred on the lees through completion of fermentation. Aged for 8 months in all French oak barrels (20% new oak). About one third of this wine went through malolactic secondary fermentation, adding complexity and mouthfeel.
