Pinot Noir
RSM Estate Vineyard, Anderson Valley
Our third vintage of organically farmed (CCOF certified) grapes harvested from the RSM Estate Vineyard planted in 1999. Picking was interrupted by climatic events in what was an early ripening vintage. The delay allowed further ripening of the fruit. This wine is a mix of Dijon 115, 667, and Pommard clones. Rich and creamy aromas of candied cherries, plum jam, forest floor, and cedar. Rich and dense fruit flavors of black cherries, huckleberry jam, root beer, mushroom broth, resinous pine, and hints of baking spices on the finish. Supple on the palate with medium chalky tannins and a lingering finish structured by noticeable acidity. Aged for 10 months in all French Oak barrels (33% new). Cases: 410
Alcohol: 13.9%, Titratable Acidity 5.7 g/L, pH 3.64
Residual Sugar: Dry
