Handley Estate Vineyard, Anderson Valley

This wine originates from our Handley Estate Winery Vineyard, organically farmed and CCOF certified since 2005. The blend is a mix of the old and new pinot noir selections, comprised of block 1A Martini (40%), block 7 Dijon 777 (40%) 4, block 8 Dijon 115 (10%), and block 5C Wadenswil (10%). It is dark in color and medium bodied, effusing aromas of red cherries, raspberries, lavender, graham crackers, cream, with hints of clove. On the palate it has flavors of blueberries, black cherries, red plum, and hints of nutmeg. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with soft tannins punctuated by balanced acidity focusing its persistent ripe fruit character. Aged for 10 months in all French Oak barrels (33% new). No animal derived compounds were used in its production.
