Handley Estate Vineyard, Anderson Valley

This wine originates from our Handley Estate Winery Vineyard, organically farmed and CCOF certified since 2005. A wet winter and cool temperatures throughout the growing season resulted in moderate yields and later harvest dates. The blend is a mix of block 1A Martini (50%) and block 5B/5C Wadenswil 2A (50%). This wine shows aromas of candied red cherries, boysenberry, wet earth, caramel, with hints of chamomile. It has flavors of blueberries, black cherries, red plum, black tea, and notes of cardamom. Smooth and creamy with refined tannins and spritely acidity that focuses on its persistent ripe fruit character. Aged for 16 months in all French Oak barrels (33% new).
