Kazmet Vineyard, Redwood Valley

Sourced from Kazmet Ranch in Redwood Valley which has been CCOF organically certified since 2017. This head-pruned, dry farmed vineyard provides ripe fruit character while maintaining its natural acidity. Showing aromas of ripe blackberries, wet asphalt, new leather, and sage notes. Flavors of blackberry, cassis, black tea, cracked white pepper, and nutmeg. Soft to medium tannins with spritely acidity framing its fruitiness. A small addition of Viognier (5%) provides floral notes, increases viscosity, and softens its tannins. Aged for 22 months in French oak barrels (20% new).
