Pinot Gris
Anderson Valley
The fruit for this wine is sourced from Helluva (57%) and Romani (43%) Vineyards. Located at opposite ends of Anderson Valley, both contribute different characters - Helluva Vineyard provides tropical and herbal notes and acidity, while Romani Vineyard provides riper stone fruit characters and body to the blend. Aromas of passion fruit, grapefruit, lemon blossoms, with hints of tarragon and macadamia nut cream. Mouthwatering flavors of guava and pineapple that interplay with fleshy nectarine and Asian pear, finishing crisply with hints of lime zest, lemongrass, and notes of candle wax. Fermentation was initiated in stainless steel tanks, then racked to 500 L puncheons, and a 3200 L oval. Stirred on the lees to soften and incorporate acidity and create weight on the palate. Sterile filtered and bottled early to avoid malolactic fermentation and preserve fresh fruit characters. No animal derived products were used to make this wine.
